WhatsApp is testing a new feature within group chats that allows users to report spam and abusive messages to group administrators, according to a recent beta version of the app.

To enable this feature for members within the group, the group admin must first enable the “Admin Review” option from the group options window in the WhatsApp application.

Members can then report any message they believe violates the group's rules, and the reports will be forwarded directly to the administrator for review and investigation of the reported messages.

The group administrator will have several options for dealing with message reports, either simply deleting the message or taking further action, such as removing the member from the group. If the administrator deems the message appropriate and does not conflict with the group's rules, they can ignore the report and take no action.

Reports are displayed in a new section on the group's info page, and only the group admin can see them.

This new feature will enable group administrators to better manage groups, especially with a large number of members.

The Group Manager Review feature is currently being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp and will be available to group managers later.
